Message from Mr Macmillan
We are pleased to let you know about an upcoming information evening featuring guest speaker Tessa Gray from Core Education.

Tessa speaks with many parent groups around the country about how to keep our children safe online at school and at home. She shares the power and potential of the Internet, but also highlights the issues and concerns and offers practical ways parents can be proactive about keeping their children/teenagers safe online. This is an informative, evocative and entertaining presentation. Be sure to tell your friends.
There have been inquiries as to whether parents should bring their young person to this presentation. Tessa has responded with the following:
I think a parent evening is the one opportunity to be completely honest with parents by creating open discussion about some content/material that can be detrimental to our young people and in some cases - quite shocking.
Note: With this in mind, it is recommended that students do not attend this presentation.
Here are the details:
When: Wednesday 2nd August, 2017
Time: 7pm
Where:Edmund Rice Centre – JPC

This is a free presentation and is highly recommended. We look forward to seeing you there.
