Week 7

I have spent a lot of time this weekend reading the writing assessments that the Room 1 students wrote last week.  I was very impressed with the standard of writing. Well done everyone.

Mr Macmillan is offering 'raffle' tickets to everyone who meets their weekly target for MathsWhizz.  The target is 60 minutes per week. I handed out a few on Friday and expect to have a lot more this week.  There are lots of prizes on offer.

The Young Vinnies are collecting good quality used clothes and non perishable food.  If you are able to help out, please bring in to Room 1 (preferably on Friday).   Every item is worth house points.

We have school photos on Friday so make sure you are looking sharp!!

Please don't bring in project materials yet.  We still have a lot of planning and organising to do before beginning on the actual project.  Don't worry - I will let you know when to start.

Well done to those students who are learning their spelling words each week.  Hard work pays off and those students are the ones getting a tick every week.

Gary Player, the golfing legend, said "The more I practice the luckier I get."
And this is the reality of luck. Luck comes to those who prepare. To those who do the work. To those who work tirelessly toward their goals. Who put in the hard yards. Who make the sacrifices.
